All Carer jobs are the same
The only thing that changes in Carer jobs are the number of beds, the patients’ names and the colour of your uniform.
If you’re looking to start out in a care role, or you’re looking for a new, what does it matter where you go?
They’re all the same. Just pick the closest one.
If that were true, this advert would end here
Not all Carer jobs are the same.
Some places are better than others.
Byron House care home, run by Westgate Health Care, is one of those places.
Why is it better?
Because they give a damn about the people they hire.
They’re offering experienced Carers, and those new to care, the chance to develop – really develop – within the healthcare industry.
They offer targeted training, in areas you’re most keen on, to help you expand your skills.
There are Senior Carer and Care Practitioner positions with Westgate for you to grow into, when you’re ready.
Not only will that aid your career, it’ll help you enjoy it more too.
On top of that, you’ll be treated properly.
With more than 5 weeks’ holiday a year, and public holiday pay enhancements.
Flexible hours, with day and night shifts available.
Workplace pension, refer-a-friend schemes, childcare vouchers, mobile phone benefits, long service awards and discounts from hundreds of stores.
You get the picture.
What do you need?
The job is helping people.
If that wasn’t what you were expecting, I don’t know why you’re still reading.
You’ll be supporting the elderly with their individual care plans as part of a team in a new, purpose-built care home.
The hours are flexible and rotational. The home is open 24/7 all year, so it’s not your standard 9-5.
If you’ve got care experience, or an NVQ 2 in health and social care – fantastic. You can progress more quickly.
If this would be your first care role, that’s fine too.
What’s more important is that you have a desire to care for others and be compassionate.
